The first thing I do in the morning is to enjoy my "nectar from the gods" cup of coffee.
The second thing I do is to read up on my magazines and trade journals before hitting the desk.
By the time I was on my second cup of coffee, however, I discovered a long lost food love - caramel.
While glancing at this month's Oprah (on page 165) I stopped to read a review of "Goats-Milk Caramel." Two foods I love - goat's milk (cheese) and caramel! Just the idea of it made me 'Google' the link to the company that has joined two loves of my life and here it is - http://www.happygoatcaramel.com/products.html.
It's easy to forget things and flavors that you love or loved at one time. My father loved caramel, and I remember the texture and taste of chocolate caramels so well. So I thought it was interesting and sort of eerie when I found out that today is National Chocolate Caramel Day!
