The Architectural Digest Home Design Show held last week in New York City featured exhibits showcasing the most beautiful exotic wood furniture and home furnishings available to both designers and the general public. The colors, textures and variety of styles of furnishings featured would appeal to anyone who values the best in design.
However, one of the exhibits that caught my attention was noteworthy not for warm wood tones, but for its cool and sophisticated design application. Gallery 180 displayed their stainless steel product that is used not only as "wall sculpture" (see the photo below courtesy of BRM Design) but can also be used in installations such as a kitchen island countertop or a tabletop for a dining room table.

Bruce R. MacDonald, the creator of the stainless steel artwork, was on hand at the Architectural Digest Design Show 2011 to explain the process of creating his beautiful panels. Each panel is custom designed for his client and/or designer. Gallery 180's website features a number of completed installations that reflect his expertise and passion for outstanding design.
