On your mark, get ready, it’s time for the holidays! Whew, how did summer go so fast?
Well, it did, so now we are all onto the next agenda – the upcoming holidays.
Visions of catalogues filled with ideas on decorating arrive almost daily.
Do something different or start a new look?

My go-to source for ideas for holiday decorating (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas) are listed below:

1. Go to your library or favorite library or favorite book retailer such as Amazon.com. Both have loads of books with photos of holiday décor.

2.Check out  Google Images is great resource for previewing ideas for unusual decorating themes. Click on 'Google Images' above to follow the link for Halloween decorating ideas.

3. Visit New York City or any metropolitan area and check out store windows such as Macy’s Herald Square, Barney’s or Lord and Taylor, etc.) for inspiration.

The plan is to keep things simple. Do your homework, pick a theme and start to gather all the items you’ll need for your table setting, fireplace mantel or window and outside decorations.

Remember, less is more – more interesting, more focused, and more fun. Do your homework now and you’ll have fun ‘playing’ later with your great holiday decorating ideas.
